Driving with a Trailer

Always exercise additional caution when driving with a large load attached to a vehicle.

The weight of an attached boat and trailer will make a vehicle less responsive. So, give any vehicle ahead more room as you follow. Reduce speed so that one has even more time to avoid obstacle than normal.

Finally, one must take corners slowly and carefully. Turn at a wide angle so the trailer can safely get around. Remember that taking sharp, quick turns with a trailer attached puts everyone at risk. Stick to slow, safe, wide turns.
