Safety in Heavy Traffic

While operating boats will be approaching at different speeds, with different sizes, and all navigating in different directions. If boat traffic is ever heavy, the safest course of action is to lower speed, stop if necessary, and proceed with caution. Always adjust speed to fit the situation. In heavily trafficked waters, be sure to move at a pace that allows time for early action to avoid other boats and maneuver safely.
