Chapter 6: Navigation Aids

Introduction

This chapter will begin by teaching how to properly anchor and dock a vessel. Followed by delving into the proper way to navigate locks and dams. Afterward covering the different buoys and markers which assist boaters in safely navigating the water.

These navigation aids are essentially the traffic signs of the waterways and will provide directions and information regarding the position, the rules of the waterway, and nearby hazards.
